Air Force out to maintain stranglehold on UFL league title


The cohesiveness of the Philippine Air Force Phoenix will once again be the main strength it will pose in the United Football League first division which opens on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

The Airmen are one of the dominant club teams in the country having been the champions of the league competition since the UFL’s inception.

PAF kick starts its defense of its league crown on Saturday when it faces Kaya FC at 4 p.m. before the opening ceremony of the league.

Even with the entry of numerous foreign-bred Pinoy football players, Air Force remains a well-respected club among the UFL teams.

“Air Force plays for 90 minutes. They play hard and they play with good teamwork,” said Global FC’s Misagh Bahadoran.
